Ghazal is Iranian Melodi Soltanis’ art pop project. She writes, produces, and performs playful songs that elegantly balance the catchy with the cryptic. Ghazal’s music is a product of navigating in opposites as well as uniting them, which shows in her union of organic and synthetic elements. In that way, Ghazal uniquely positions herself somewhere between Britney Spears and her grandmother’s old Daf drum.
