Terms and conditions regarding tickets and access to events
Youth ticket
Guests with a youth ticket must present valid picture ID to document that on the official opening day of the festival they have not yet turned 25 years. A limited number of these tickets are for sale until 31st of March
Children
Admission to the festival area is free for children under 12 years of age if accompanied by an adult.
Personal assistants for disabled persons
Having purchased a standard ticket or youth ticket and upon presenting a valid companion card from the Danish Disability Organizations’ User Service, the disabled person may bring a personal assistant with him/her into festival area free of charge. Upon arriving at the festival just present the companion card, and the assistant will receive a wristband corresponding to the purchased ticket unless another agreement (in writing) has been reached with SPOT before the start of the festival. If the disabled person is going to bring different assistants on Friday and Saturday, this must be cleared with SPOT before the start of the festival.
The festival stages have limited capacities
SPOT Festival is primarily an indoor festival and uses Aarhus’s many venues and culture houses for the concerts/ film screenings/ etc. Ranging from 50 to 3,000, the audience capacity of the individual venue varies a lot, and for that reason SPOT cannot guarantee all ticket holders access to all concerts. Show up in good time before the concert/talk/etc.. It makes your chance of getting in a lot better. It is not possible to pre-book for the concerts.
Events on Thursday
The festival’s main programme takes place on Friday and Saturday, but already on Thursday there will be concerts and events – mainly organized by a number of external organizers. Several of these events will be free of charge, but in some cases a SPOT wristband is required. In these cases, only wristbands for the entire festival will do – in other words one-day wristbands (whether Friday or Saturday) won’t give access to these events on Thursday. In some cases, it is possible to buy a ticket for the event at the door or from the organizing venue’s ticket sale.
Special and Free Events
For a number of special events in connection with SPOT, advance enrolment or purchase of a special extra ticket may be required. During the festival, there will also be open events for which there will be free admission – also for people without SPOT wristbands. At these events, the festival ticket/wristband gives no special rights in terms of access. It will be stated clearly in the official event description at localhost if an event has got special access terms of either kind.
