Thematically and musically, Pater finds inspiration in the honest and experimenting wave of contemporary Danish pop where the band combines a focus on lyrics and narratives with long solos and instrumental sections. Pater references both the pop sounds of the 80’s with great complexity in both their rhythms and arrangements as well as glam rock of the 70’s that challenges the status quo in terms of music, performance, and gender conformity.
