11 great additions to the SPOT roster
We’re once again ready to present a slew of new and exciting artists for this year’s SPOT Festival. Today we’re announcing no less than 11 great acts. Experimenting pop? Sure. Folk from Jutland? Of course. Faroese provocative punk? Always. True to tradition, there’s certainly something for everyone at SPOT 2022.
The cult duo from the Copenhagen underground First Hate guest SPOT 2022 and they are sure to start a party with their pounding, genre-transcending pop. This year’s line-up is further enriched by Xander Linnet’s grand pop songs about love and Blæst’s strong melodies and youthful lyrics that reminds the listener of the Danish pop icons of the 80’s and 90’s. Tobias Wilner (Blue Foundation) and Jonas Bjerre (Mew) present their newest project Tachys, which is equal parts pop and experimentation, while SASO is ready to present her raw vocals and powerful pop. Norwegian Resa Saffa Park’s soft and soulful love songs draw inspiration from both Lana Del Rey and Billie Holiday and also FABER’s poetic pop about grief, love and vulnerability can be experienced. KAMMA delivers stylish pop which exists between the beautiful and painful, and SAGT PÆNT explores the grey areas between intimacy and chaos in an honest sonic universe. If you’re into fierce guitars with a political twist, make sure not miss the barrage of witty sonic blasts from Joe & The Shitboys, the bisexual, vegan shitpunks from the Faroe Islands. Finally, Rikke Thomsen guests with her stories about life in Southern Jutland that are carried by the singer-songwriter’s authentic folk sound and strong guitar playing.
