SPOT 2022: Thank you for the music!
With a shining sun above the city of Aarhus, SPOT Festival showcased a promising amount of Danish talent reaching for the stars. And with SPOT 2022 done, we’ve entered a season of concerts and fully packed calendars on both big and small stages all over Denmark.
Thanks to a wonderful audience from near and far. With a remarkable appetite for both un- and well known music, the audience – alongside our many delegates from the industry – traveled tirelessly from stage to stage, supporting the music and giving the festival its unique, warm, and happy atmosphere.
It means something. It makes a difference. It’s important to be seen and heard, when you, as an artist with something at heart, spend most of your time on developing your art and your performance.
Thanks to the many delegates and professionals from the industry for adding a certain depth and meaning to SPOT Festival as a platform for networking and sharing knowledge.
A special thanks to Promus for their exemplary work with SPOT+, and a huge applause to MXD – Music Export Denmark for their work with inviting our international guests, and the very exciting collaboration with KEXP from Seattle, USA.
Thanks to the venues around town – from Musikhuset to Folkestedet, from Salling Rooftop to Godsbanen, from VoxHall, Train, turkis, and Radar to dayparties and pop-up concerts all over.
Thanks to UMTO for new inspiration, to Aarhus Volume for our close cooperation, Institut for X, Aarhus Calling, KORMA, and many more local and national partners.
A huge thank you to SPOTs employees and our many dedicated volunteers, who – as always – worked immensely and impressingly hard to create the party’s content and safe conditions.
Thanks to the board for being loyal towards the values, purpose and work surrounding SPOT Festival.
Thanks to our main sponsor, Tuborg, for their great partnership with the festival.
A warm thank you to to Aarhus Kommune, Salling Foden, The Danish Arts Foundation, Region Midtjylland, KODA, DAF, DMF, and all the other contributions to the festival.
Now, we’re handing over the concert baton to our festival colleagues all over the country, wishing everyone a lovely summer.
